Chicken

Who wants chicken tonight? Bryson does! Here he is eating his chicken and rice. We have just recently started him on some "real" food, and he loves it as you can see. It's fun to see his excitement. He still does not have any teeth, so I'm trying to grind the food some or give him soft things. Any suggestions on "starter foods" from you experienced moms out there?

Aw, he's so cute. That's fun that he is eating *real* food now - just try everything. You are doing a great job!

Solid foods are fun.

We gave my nephew very soft and small pieces of home made bread sticks dipped in pizza sauce, and to this day he asks for that whenever they come over. He calls them "Uncle Jeremy's Pizza dots! =)

Anna!

Our pediatrician said to give them leftover pizza crust! For my crew, we started with garbanzo beans from the can(...they have shape, but are mushy), sweet potatoes, rice cakes, avocado(great fats for babies), white fish that you have baked (only if you are making it for yourself), cream of wheat, and always the undying Cheerio!! You can find "good" cheerios without too much added stuff at your local health food store.

Love from all the Bakers,
Teresa

hi! glad to see he is doing well on solids. he loooks like he really enjoys them. real bananas are good, yogurt (my pediatrician is a huge fan of) and green beans, peas, cooked carrots, all fun and good for babies to pickup themselves and eat.
