in His timing, but boy it's hot!

It is hot here! This map of the eastern US was from just a couple of days ago. We’ve had record setting heat for 5 out of the last 7 days AND eight days straight of temperatures over 100 degrees! Our heat index has been over 100 for the past 52 days…that’s over a month and a half. We’re 43% below where we normally are for rainfall although we did get some rain yesterday for the first time in three weeks! Sorry for the stats, but this is unprecedented. Memphis has 8 heat-related fatalities so far (read a national news article about the heat by visitingt his site www.cnn.com/2007/US/08/19/heat.wave.ap/index.html)
and the city is saying everyone’s utility bill will be going up by about $40 over the next couple of months to compensate!

We’re still waiting for the baby. We’re thankful we had some time and that the baby didn’t come a couple of weeks ago, but now that we’re fully prepared in the nursery, we’re kind of ready for him to come! We thought the 18th was good because it’s Anna’s ½ birthday. Or maybe the nineteenth? My mom, mother-in-law and grandma were all born on the nineteenth of a month. What about the 20th? That’s a nice round number. Or 21? That’s 3 x 7 (divinity times completion if you accept “biblical numerology”). And so we continue waiting. All in His timing, not the baby’s!
Of course Anna's looking just as cute as ever in this photo taken last week, but she's about ready to be done with pregancy and move onto motherhood for awhile. All for now.
