...and we are doing well. Silas is gaining weight, and I am still enjoying help from my parents. Silas has a sweet and contented spirit, so he doesn't cry very much and is easily consoled. He is such a blessing and I love to cuddle him and watch his bright eyes look intently as he discovers the world around him and gazes at my face. Bryson is curious and sweet to him, and even lets him have his blanket for comfort! Silas still eats every 2-3 hours in the night, and night feedings are hard for me so that is an adjustment. Thank you for all your prayers!
The Name:
Silas
-we wanted a Bible name, but one that was not as common. We have enjoyed studying the character of Silas as a man who was one of the "leading men among the brethren" (Acts 15:22) and who risked his life for the name of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 15:26).
-we also discovered it is a family name on both sides!
Wheatlee
- the Wheat part is based on John 12:24 "...unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain." It also refers back to my home state of Kansas, the Wheat state. Bryson's middle name is Rivers from John 7:38 and refers to Caleb's home state of TN.
-Lee is a family name on both sides and my middle name
