This is the Pink Palace, where we will go to find out where we "Matched". It is now a museum in Memphis.
Our little family is waiting for the big news! (Bryson seems the most anxious!)The process that we are going through for residency placement for Caleb is called "The Match". It has involved months of interviews across the country, making a Rank List of programs in the order we want, and then anxiously awaiting "Match Day" when we will find out our future destiny! Caleb ranks the schools he interviews, and the schools in turn rank the students they want. All this information goes into a computer system that "matches" every medical student with a residency program (although it is possible to not match, in which case you "scramble", which is another involved process of which I will spare you). On March 20th at high noon, Caleb, along with all the other 4th year medical students in the country, will be given an envelope that has one place listed on it. (Drama, drama, I know). That is where we will move to! So... this Thursday is the big day. We are praying for the Lord's direction for our lives, and know that at this point it is entirely in His hands. We know He has the program picked out for Caleb to train and a good place for us to live... and we are just dying to know where! We will keep you posted!
