Monday we celebrated two years of marriage; I gave Anna the flowers (seen above) and we went to dinner at a nice Italian place (Cafe Toscana - you have to eat there if you are in Memphis!). It is difficult to believe time has passed so quickly. We are well even though you might not know it since it's been so long since we blogged.
Anna is now 28 weeks and feeling well (see photo below). We painted the baby room and Anna will decorate it soon. We recently purchased a digital camera so we hope to begin posting more photos, but I won't steal her thunder about it...
I'm doing an emergency medicine rotation right now in a small rural hospital with 24 hour shifts. It's tiring but I really enjoy it the variety and pace of it. Where else can you suture, remove a bug from each ear of patient (one dead for a month, one very much alive), treat a stroke, set a broken bone (or two), diagnose a myocardial infarction, and reassure a pregnant mom about her baby's health...all in the same day?
We enjoyed being at my sister's graduation this past weekend. I led the congregational hymn and Joshua gave the commencment address. He did a splendid job and Sarah graduated high school despite her tears. It was a whirlwind trip (that sounds familiar!), but an encouraging time to be with family. Thanks for keeping my mom in your prayers. Her second round of chemo was Tuesday and she's tolerating it quite well.
