My friend Rachel tagged me for another meme. This time it's just 7 random things about me. Here are the rules: Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to write on their own blog about their seven things, as well as these rules. You need to choose 7 people to get tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them that they have been tagged and to read your blog!
So here goes... hmm... It may be hard to come up with 7 things you all don't know about me, but my life has changed significantly since I got married (new state, new job, new house, etc), so here are some things I have learned about myself since getting married.
1. I like to keep things simple. With all the change in my life that happened at once, I realized I had to simplify in order to survive. Some examples include getting rid of stuff we didn't need, cooking quick, healthy meals, and not packing the schedule too full.
2. I am more of a neat freak than I thought. I definitely like things clean and organized, although I had no idea how much work this would take!
3. I love to cook. I find it extremely rewarding to discover new recipes and try them. My husband enjoys it and we both get to eat! I think cooking is an art and enjoy looking through magazines and newspapers for original recipes.
4. We don't have a TV. It is possible to survive without one, and means that my husband and I have more time for eachother. We do get the newspaper and have internet so he keeps up well with the news. (Dare I reveal this? I'm afraid you all will think we are complete weirdos. Part of it is that neither of us had our own tv before, and we haven't bought one since we've been married. The shows I like to watch would be cable channels, which means another bill to pay. Also, space is an issue. After a while we got used to not having one, and rather enjoy it since we feel there are so many other pressures on our time.)
5. I can live with a dog. I like the dog, even though it drives me crazy sometimes!
6. I can make new friends, although it has been hard for me. I have a hard time reaching out, but find it rewarding in the end.
7. My faith has been strengthened by trusting the Lord with each new situation and seeing Him provide for my needs. He has been faithful and a great help with all the adjustments that I have gone though these past two years. I know there are plenty more to come with a baby on the way... but that He is able to guide me though each day, one step at at time!

I definitely would have guessed you as a neat freak. I'm one too, but having kids has definitely made it harder to maintain that "perfectly clean" house. I miss that!
That was fun to read!
You're so cute Anna!
It's not easy being stretched like you are, but I know your character is becoming more like Christ's. Keep trusting!
Happy late anniversary! I am so sorry we didn't call. I didn't remember until 6:30 this morning, and I would have called but I thought you probably wouldn't want to wake up that early on your day off! :) I hope you guys had a good day and a fun weekend last weekend.
