News

It's springtime here in the South, and what a refreshing season. Anna and I used the membership I got her for her birthday and went to the Botanical Gardens near the house weekend before last and it was fantastic - walking among blooming trees and flowers, with a warm breeze. What an excellent way to spend part of Saturday. As you can see from the photo below, pregnancy has only made Anna more lovely.

We continue to be amused by Grady. Yesterday I was a bit baffled when I realized he chewed on (and completely demolished), not one, but three plastic flower pots. It's funny because it's a certain kind of plastic and he seems to think it great fun. Now that we know, we'll only buy the other kind of flowerpot. We also had fun watching him with a mostly deflated helium balloon recently - it moved a bit with the wind and he ran around it, sneaking up on it like it was alive. Anna and I laughed till we almost cried. His photo, with his classic look, is below.

The next bit of news is a bit sad. My mom just found out that she has breast cancer. It's low grade and low stage, but she's having surgery the first part of April if you think to pray for her.

Finally, someone asked recently about the baby. Everything is fine as far as we know. We get an ultrasound at the end of this month. So we'll know more then!

I will be praying for your mom, Caleb. That was difficult news to hear. The Lord is able and willing to be there with her, which is so comforting to know.
