Rachel tagged me a few days ago, so I am going to attempt to write something despite being in the midst of a crazy move/ house remodeling. Since I am completely consumed with our house right now, maybe I will write about me in relation to our new house!
Here's the rules:
Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
Let them know they are tagged by leaving comments on their blogs.
1. I am an impulsive paint color chooser. I know, I know, I am supposed to pick colors, bring them home, compare them with eachother, look at them in lots of different lights, and then pick the very best option. But when your husband says "run into home depot and pick all your paint colors so we can get started painting the house", there's not much time for deliberation. And it's much more fun this way. Pick a random color, throw it on the wall and see what happens! It's been interesting to say the least!
2. I love brown the way my sister in law loves black. I have a mind to paint my whole house brown, but I wasn't sure how that would go over. So far, there are only 2 brown rooms (dining room and study off of the kitchen).
3. I know nothing about coutertops but I just bought some. I did talk with Ruth who used to work in the countertop business and she gave me some tips, then we did some research and got in on a deal at Home Depot where they are 10% off select colors with a free $400 stainless steel sink. I am really nervous about how they are going to look!
4. We bought our house in Kirkwood for those who may be wondering where in St Louis we are. It is near I-44 and 270 N.
5. I can't decide what is more painful- moving or natural childbirth. At this point I think I'll go with moving.
6. I used to think I was organized and a minimalist. After moving, I'm not sure about either.
7. We love company! We are excited about our new home, and when it becomes less of a disaster zone we hope to see some of you here!

Anna! I am so glad you all are in saint louis, and wish I could be hanging out with you and helping you now! I'll be back around the first week of July- make sure you save some housework for me ; ) Hope all is well.
Hi Anna! #5 Cracked me up! I told my friend, when we moved from St. Louis back to KC that I think I'd rather go through childbirth than move again! I feel for you! :o)
I can't wait to see what countertops you picked! We're thinking about putting new ones in too, and Ruth was just giving me some suggestions. What kind did you choose?
Rachel- We picked the Silestone, which is the Home Depot brand of quartz. The pattern I picked is called Giallo quarry. The Silestone is less expensive than granite and doesn't need to be sealed on a regular basis like granite (ie silestone doesn't need to be sealed at all). I wanted something low maintenance. I though it was hard to invision what they will look like just from the little 4 inch sample, so that is what made me nervous. The color looked good with our cabinets, so hopefully it will look ok!
I feel the same way about #6. I remember before I moved I thought I was a good minimalist. But, it is amazing to me the stuff we are getting rid of now. Were did this all come from? We just now organized our garage and took a whole trunk full of stuff to the Salvation Army.
So exciting that you got new countertops! I can't wait to see pics of them. We are still "talking" about what to do with ours. :) Does that surprise you?
Call us sometime when you guys have the chance to talk. We are out of cell phone range for the weekend, but hopefully we can chat soon.
I am so glad you guys are here and safe and sound. Kirkwood is a gorgeous area. Is it an older home? I've only had to move from one county to another....I can't really sympathize #5.
Jeremy and I are so glad y'all got to St Louis safe and sound. You'll really be missed here in the big 'M'. Sounds like things are going well and as for Moving vs. Child Birth I've never birthed a child, but I've nmoved enough times to know for a fact that I'd rather have twins then have to move by ourselves again.
We miss you guys so much! I can't wait to see pictures of your house, with all the brown paint and new countertops! ;)
Isaac says to give Bryson a high-five for him, and he's looking forward to visiting him sometime!
