time is short...

This was in the newspaper weekly, Parade, on Sunday. It was a good reminder to me and Anna that time is short. While I think this works using the actual fingerprint, it is only a step from merely inserting a chip under skin on the hand to use as ID, bankcard, healthcare record, etc. Revelation talks about the mark of the beast - something required on the hand or forehead to buy and sell. While I don't think this is it, it could surely be a forerunner. Scary? Well, I did some soul-searching. The time of the Lord Jesus' return is coming quickly. Let us, by His grace and in His power, work with diligence before the night comes, for His glory.

Father,
Thank you that you have not given us a spirit of fear. Help us to be faithful, not fearful - to be sober-minded, not scared-mindless - and to be working for Your coming, not worrying about what's coming. Thank you that you have all-things in control. Help me to be a wise-steward of this life, joyfully proclaiming the good news of redemption found in You to all around me. Even so, maranatha. In the Name of Jesus and for His sake, Amen
